Money habits for a lasting impact!

When you’re in control of your finances, you’re in control of your life. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all about treating yourself, but not so much if it’s going to stop you from reaching your financial goals. Nevertheless, a few nudges in the right direction will help you get there 😉. Don’t stress, we’re not telling you to change your whole life (we don’t want you missing out because well, FOMO) think of it as small, realistic adjustments that will have a lasting impact!

Establish your “play money” 💸

Your social calendar won’t always align with your budget. When payday rolls around, take a look at your to see what you’ve got coming up and allocate a budget towards it. This will be a little added extra to your usual “play money” (the money you use for dinners or shopping etc.). Planning in advance should help you stay on board and headed towards your financial goals! However, some things are out of your control and things pop up last minute, when that happens, just use the MyPayNow app to get an instant payday advance!

Separate your accounts ✂️

Creating different accounts for your various needs for money will make saving a lot easier.  Keep it as simple as possible with one for your spending, a second for your bills and a third for your savings. This is an easy way to keep track of all expenses, spending habits, and progress along the way!

Automate payments 🔁

Out of sight, out of mind, works a charm every time! Automatic payments are an easy way to ensure your finances are as seamless as possible. All you need to do is set up how much you wish to transfer each week into your savings and bills accounts and then you’re all good to go! The pros of this are safeguarding your chances of being stung by late fees and having an established saving plan you don’t need to think about.

Review and assess! 🔎

It’s all well and good to do all of these steps, but is it working? Are you achieving your goals? Could you be doing more or are you doing too much? Not only do you want to check your progress, but you also want to check in with yourself to see if this is working for you. Everyone’s finances and lives are different, and it isn’t a one shoe fits type of world. So, find the time to regularly check in and make adaptions if you need to!
