Get mind, home & budget ready for Spring!

Wave goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring. We’re so excited to be welcoming the new season, with first doses of that warm Aussie sun hitting our skin and blue skies all round, it’s the perfect excuse for a bit of a life cleanse! What do we mean exactly? It’s time to get rid of the belongings you’ve been holding onto and take the time to re-align and focus on doing right by you! With a new season comes a new attitude, so have a read of our top tips on getting Spring ready.

Spring clean

We’re not talking about your regular household chores; we’re talking a complete living space refresher. Not only are you going to give your home a deep clean – we’re talking carpets, blinds, curtains, skirting boards, the whole lot. You’re also going to go through your belongings and cull anything you no longer need or use, such as clothes, shoes, linen, storage, drawers…you name it. You might want to chip away at it over a few weekends, or maybe you want to smash it out in one go, either way will be just as productive!

Kicking goals

Just like you set new year’s resolutions, you’re going to set some micro goals for the new season, to help support your overarching goals. What do you hope to achieve? Do you have a savings goal? Do you have a fitness goal? Break it down by week and check in with yourself at the end of the month to see how you’re going. Goals can be more achievable when you have smaller milestones to hit along the way.

New food plan, who dis?

Winter months have you indulging in hot food that wasn’t exactly on the meal plan? We like the 80/20 rule: 80% healthy and 20% indulgent. As the weather warms up, try and re-jig the food you’re eating to ensure you’re feeling tip top! To stay consistent, prep your meals at the start of the week and think in advance for the following week so you’re never left scrambling. The healthier you eat, the better the treats will taste – guaranteed!

Springtime spending

With warmer weather comes the urge to get out and about with friends, which usually comes with a hefty bill to follow. While the temptation is real, set aside your spending budget and allocate however much you can afford, to still have fun, but without putting your finances in jeopardy. Just because the good vibes are out, doesn’t mean you need to send yourself broke!
